Stormy Night at the Pond

My folks live out in the country and I've photographed this pond many, many times. I keep looking for ways create a new image. This is my latest effort.

This is a 9 image HDR blend, then some work with Color Efex Pro and finally added just a touch of light at the far end of the dock using lighting effects.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Beautifully done Keith. I like the mood and the lighting really adds to this.

Very dramatic and intriguing! The perspective and sky are just great, and the comp perfect. The darkness adds a certain "mood" that is wonderful.

Keith,
I'm not usually a fan of HDR, but this is stellar! It doesn't have that "cartoon" feel that many HDR images exhibit. Wonderful color, light and atmosphere. Very well done!

great job controlling the HDR effect, the image looks natural, I like the sense of motion in the clouds

Nice composition with a dramatic mood. To nitpick, I found the grass in the foreground a little distracting because it is so light. You might try cropping just below the dock to remove the grass and move the horizon below the center line.
