From my dining room "studio" last weekend. This was absolutely the brightest orange I've ever seen on a tulip. I had to desaturate quite a bit in processing this.

Vibrant color, I love the angle and light on the petals! :toast: :toast: :toast:

It's nice to see the spring flowers rolling through NPN. Yes, the color and the form are very flamboyant. I dearly wish the stem were in sharp focus, but I tend to be too clinical in my flower photography, so I could be steering you the wrong way.

Great lines and a nice perspective Kathy. I wish that the sideways 'v' of light on the bottom right was toned down a bit.

Truly like how you zoomed in on the base of the tulip and the lighting is perfect. My only minor nit is the one bright "v" section on the right. Great job! :toast:

Nice composition and color, and I like the somewhat unconventional approach you've taken here. Like the others, I'm a bit bothered by the hot spot in the lower right-hand corner, but that's the only critique I can offer of this very nice image.

Kathy,

This is striking. Love the colors, the comp and the dof decision. I would clone over the bright V on the right and then I'd print this and hang it on my wall.

Kathy: Great POV and lighting. Count me in with the folks suggesting you clone the < on the right. Top notch. >=))>
