Abstract Cranes

Hi everyone, heres a shot from last fall. It was taken at Crex Meadows in Wisconsin. It was a dark, overcast day with minimal light, so instead of trying to freeze the cranes in the frame, I tried more of an abstract slow shutterspeed panning look. I really like the result, and it almost resembles a watercolor painting. I'm interested to hear what everyone thinks about this shot, does the abstract look work for you or not? Thanks. Joe

Good choice of shutter speed IMO. This would be neat as a pano. I think I'd take a bit off the bottom, especially the bright water.

I like it Joe, a well executed pan blur. I agree with taking a little off the bottom. :toast:

Neat action in the blur here Joe. I too vote for a pano on this shot. Really focus on the flyers.
