Reflections II

Here is another shot from the Jasper area last November. The mirror image while standing there looking at it was outstanding and after a brief snow squall I had to get a few shots in. I thought I'd put the boulders in the LLC to help give some kind of depth to the image. I did think about converting to B&W but I like how most of the image is mono tone until your eye crosses the rock face on the other side of the lake where the brown colour kind of pops out in the image Thanks for taking the time to stop by and take a look.

As always your thoughts and comments are welcome and appreciated.

Great detail and sense of place. I'm glad you posted a larger image! This definitely looks impressive there! The only nit I have is the large tree on the left side of the frame. It does provide some balance, but it is awkward to me, at the same time.

I like mountain scenes and the snow and gray sky reflected in the water sets a foreboding mood Mark. There is some softness in the fg rocks at left, did you chose a wide open aperture for a reason?

Hi Wayne...No I didn't intentionally choose a wide open aperature but I will try and make a conscious effort in future. There was a rather ugly weather system moving in real fast and as a result my first thought was to get a bunch of shots off before the oncoming blizzard hit. Thanks for the comments  I'm taking notes for future outtings.
