The tulips here in the Pacific Northwest have been making their appearance for a week or two. I shot this today under horrible conditions.... rain, cold and gusty winds keeping the blooms in motion.

You seems to have done quite well under the circumstances. The out-turned petal is a plus and the DOF is just right for my taste. Well done :toast:

Exceptional image. Love the choice of composition and the detail in the main tulip. Thanks for posting this, spring has just begun here... daffys and crocus only... magnolias very soon.

Craig: You mastered the conditions with this shot. The curled petal is a real plus element. I do envy you northern folk your tulips and crocus. Of course we Texans have bluebonnets and paintbrush so I'll stop whining. Beautiful presentation.>=))>

Nice shot Craig. You handled the conditions very well, and they gave you some sweet light and some nice water drops on the tulip. I like your DOF/POF choice also. :cool:
