Skaftafell Sunset
by Adrian Metzelaar
A beautiful sunset in Skaftafell National Park, Iceland. There were a lot of these ponds that had formed through thawing but by the time I'd got there they'd frozen again. Wind blown on to the twigs in the foreground had frozen in their beautiful state, creating a perfect foreground. Thanks for looking and please give any comments and please view large! Adrian

It wasn't shot on Velvia but Nikon D300. I think quite a lot of detail has been lost in the colourspace conversion which is a bit annoying so will have a look at a better conversion later today, thanks for your comments.

This is a beautiful scene. but a real headache to process with the wide dynamic range in shadows and highlights. In your rework watch the really bright snow on the mountain and in the reflection it will be really easy to blow them out. Please repost you rework I'd really love to see it.
