Old Japanese Maple

Japanese maples are without a doubt my favorite trees and this one is just over the top. This image was shot with an infrared converted camera using the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye at 1/100 sec and f9. The size of the base is a bit exaggerated because of the fisheye distortion, but still this is a very large and old tree. Comments of course are welcome.

Oh, I like it a lot! I just wished the base was a bit sharper and showing more texture. Perfect use of the infrared. :toast:

A surreal effect, and your comp and use of the fisheye makes for a unique and evocative image.
