Hiking up the popular Borrego Palms canyon trail in Anza-Borrego desert, I spotted these two bighorn sheep about half a mile away. They actually posed perfectly for me for a few seconds, long enough to get my telephoto lens out and fire off one quick handheld shot. Although the mid-day lighting wasn't the best, the polarizer seems to have taken some of the edge off the glare. I'm not sure how this will translate to a tiny, pixel-limited version, so a LARGER version is included.

70-300 IS lens @ 300, handheld
polarizer

This is great! Glad you were able to get the shot while they were posing so nicely, and all the blooming brittlebrush adds a lot as well.

Phenomenal image! Bloom and the position of the sheep in the frame makes this image for me. Just amazing, Daniel!!

really nice shot Daniel. The brittle brush is phenominal. I wonder if coming in on either side wouldn't strengthen the composition.

This is really cool! First I thought it was a toy sheep and those bushes just some little flowers. It still looks strange to me.

Nice one, Daniel. The terrain itself is very interesting and the sheep add even more to the image.
