Earth-Kind Rose

This is a Knockout rose that has been designated as an Earth-Kind Rose. The Rose received the designation from research done at Texas A&M and means that this landscape rose contributes significantly to the consumer's desire for beautiful, low-maintenance, environmentally-responsible landscape plants. Little did I realize all of this two days ago when I first noticed the rose bush gleaming in the rain. All I thought then was how red the petals were against the green foliage

Carol, interesting use of the leaf as a balance to the subject compositionally. Nicely captured.

Very pretty color. I also like the composition with the leaf balancing the rose. Just wish the leaf had a little more green to contrast as well.

Hi Carol,

Verry beautiful colors, for me the leaf above is to much and leads off attention from the main subject.

Hi Carol :wavey: A very unusual but successful composition   the leaf in the BG is in harmony with the rose. And the brilliant red tones add to the drama of the mood. A very striking image.

Wow, I like this capture a lot Carol. It's a stunning rose and the way it comes out of the darkness is very well thought out and executed. Well done :toast:

Carol: Knockout colors for sure and a fine capture. I especially like the play of light on the subject and leaf. Well seen and captured. >=))>
