Sunrise, Oregon Coast

It was a pretty rainy morning but the clouds broke up for a bit. Wondering what you all think about this. The composition is not the strongest or the most original but I like the light and colors. Wondering if you think this image can stand? Thanks for looking and any feedback is greatly appreciated.

17mm, f/16, 1sec. Blend from one raw file for the most part. Blended in some detail in the rocks from another file.

Will, I agree with you, the light and the colors are fantastic. The storm clouds add the drama and the rocks are nicely placed throughout the image. Nice work.

Like you say, the comp isn't the strongest I've ever seen, but it's still darn nice, and I really like the color and drama of the skies.

It's unbelievable that this one only got two comments so far. It may not be the strongest composition as you say, but it still a very good comp, with all tat texture in the water and the nice displacement of the rocks. That beautiful light in the sky and the nice contrast and luminosity in the foreground makes this a pleasure to see. It can certainly stand in my opinion, I would be happy to have it in my portfolio.

A fabulous shot, Will. I love the warm magentas in the sky and water. Great clouds and nice spacing of the rocks. I agree not the strongest of comps, but the the lighting and color are fabulous! I shot a similar looking location on the weekend where there are many rocks scattered all over the place so I understand how hard it is to get a good arrangement, but I think you've done a great job here.
