My trusty 200 can do landscape as well as intimate. Since we've had some really nice Flora landscapes in the past few days I thought I might share this from my trip last Saturday to the Hill Country. All comments welcome. >=))>

PS: Been AWOL commenting this week due to a heavy work schedule. Hope to catch up in the next couple of days.

Long time no train? Good example how the mother nature can take over. I like this nice colour palette.

Gorgeous shot Bill. Love the mix of flowers and cactus as well as the depth the tracks provide.

Bill, what a wonderful capture. A testament to how Mother Nature will reclaim what Man has built given time. A wonderful study of Man and Nature. Two thumbs up sir.

Hope they let up on you at work Bill, but it seems you still found time to go out and relax with your favorite bonnets. The way they are growing up over the rails this line must not see much traffic or is abandoned. The tracks do give a feeling of sweep and movement through the image. My only nit and it's a minor matter of taste is the DOF is giving a surreal tad of blurriness to the back ground. It does make the foreground pop though.

What an interesting shot Bill! I normally don't like an OOF background in a landscape, but it works perfectly here by exaggerating the sweep of the composition. It really gives a feeling of "on down the line." The comp is perfect, and the sprinkling of red and cacti are a nice bonus. Well done!

Wonderful lines framed nicely with the blue and red, and I like your DOF choice here too. Love it Bill.

Nice capture, Bill. Gotta love Texas Hill Country in the spring. Looks like you've got some Indian Paintbush there, too.

Those bluebonnets sure like the tracks . . . I notice the paintbrush takes over a few feet to the right of the rails after the gravel ends. A very pretty spring scene. I like the graceful curve of the rails leading the eye through the scene.

I love the curve of the RR track, Bill. That, IMO, is the show stopper :toast:

I love the sweeping curve of the railroad tracks and the blue wildflowers, Bill. The couple of red flowers nestled among the sea of blue is a real attention getter. Beautifully done.

I've spent more than a little time walking along railroad tracks and those, with no rust to speak of, look like they're still being used regularly. This is a lovely shot.

It really makes me wish I was there.
