April Showers...

Yes, this is from this morning, April 18th in Northeast Pennsylvania. I wasn't planning on heading out today, but I had to see if the late-season snow would help the scenery. That, and the gorgeous light certainly did. Windy road along a stream, there were so many comps to choose from... ISO-200, 1/125th sec. at f-3.5, cropped just a bit left and top. Larger recommended, thanks for any C&C!

What a beautiful composition Bill. I love the road leading into the snow dusted trees. I would never have thought of snow in PA at this time of year. The weather sure has been wacky all over this year.

Thank you Carol. It was so strange, and I really didn't want to go out today. Long story short, better to come, I think anyway. :toast:

Thank you Kah Kit!! This little series I did yesterday is up there with my personal favorites. Great conditions. Again, some different angles with similar light and snow I hope to post later. Appreciate your compliment.

Great, Bill. I think your composition here is really interesting, and you captured it in great conditions that really work.

I always love these late storms here in Colorado too. They offer up great compositions and usually have nice diffused light too. You did a good job with this one with the sweeping branches suggesting the path of a falling maple leaf. Very nice Bill.

Great find and nice composition. Almost feels like a late fall/early snow shot with the leaves on the ground. They go well with the upper 2/3rds of green and white. Nicely done.

Thank you Nick, Mel and Larry. It was really a joy to be out there, even though it was snow in mid-April!!!
