I like the soft lighting and the composition that emphasizes the tree. Nice.

Nice position of the tree in the middle of the frame.

I'm not sure I care for the centered composition - but this is a beautiful image. I love the soft colors and the gorgeous light. Well done!

I love the light in this, although I would prefer the tree be less centered.

The colors do make for an almost mystical scene here. Although the tree makes for a solid centerpoint of the image, I would love to see this scene from a position up closer to the water as that reflection is like glass.

What I can't get over is this is the UK??? Wow!!!

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Christopher, my previous upload is a similar shot without the tree.

Thanks again, Gary.

Gary, I read w/interest the other comments on centering of tree. W/o tree this would seem blah to me...with the tree...it is a bold dagger in the center...Then I think ...'wouldn't it be better to see the tree to the side?'....but, my answer is no because the center is so empty. Lacking a stunning cloud form or somethin' in center ...I think the tree centering makes this work. In fact, I would try cropping the left/rt sides a bit more to make it more about the tree.

Beautifully shaped tree and the the composition with the landscape all around it works very well. Nice work.

A beautiful shot, Gary. Wonderful soft light and color. The lone tree adds to the serene quietness of the image. I like the warmer fg grass in contrast to the coolness of the of the image. Lovely shot.

Very impactful shot. I agree that having the tree in the center makes this shot. Sometimes breaking the rules is the right thing to do. I think this shot is one of those times.

Thanks again everyone, I'm delighted with the feedback you've all given the shot.

Steve, there's a very good chance you've seen this tree before. It's a popular spot for photographers.

Cheers, Gary.

Beautiful image. Nice light. The tree in the center works well. No tree the image would have worked well too just some crop off of the top. Were you using a polarizer for this image?

Thanks Larry, I don't think I used a polarizer but can't be sure.
