I photographed this image in the morning
at the Mesquite Sand Dunes of Death Valley
near Stovepipe Wells in the mid 1990's. I
used Velvia film. I appreciate your feedback.

I like the forms and textures, and the placement of the dune against the mountains. It seems like this might work better converted to B&W. Did you crop some of the sky from the top? I'd suggest going even further, leaving just the thinnest sliver of sky above the mountains in the background.

P.S. - I shot with the Elan until as recently as 2006, after which I bought the 5D.

Thanks, for the suggestion regarding a B&W conversion. Not
feeling very confident about B&W conversions, I've only attempted
it once. It is doable in Elements 7; so I'll give it a try.
