This is one of my favorite shots, taken last year at a domestic sunflower field near Morrowville, Kansas. I totally have NPN to thank for the shot!
Had I not been a member of this wonderful community, I never would have known where to look for this field. Fellow NPNer Scott Bean gave me the location tip. The networking and information available here is awesome!
Being a member of NPN also got me to think about this shot before I tried executing it. I used to just shoot and hope for the best, and didn't put a lot of thought into what I was doing or what I really wanted to accomplish. I'm actually finding that I'm shooting fewer total images because I'm not just randomly pressing the shutter button.
I also have NPN to thank for improving the quality of my work the last couple years. I joined in 2007 and have learned so much from seeing all the awesome images posted here everyday, and have benefitted from all the kind people (pros and amateurs alike) who take the time to look and comment. I have learned SO much, and look forward to the continuing journey! Thank you to Jim & Donna, and all the moderators who volunteer their time to make this the best photography forum on the planet
