I photographed this on April 12th. The redbuds were in full bloom along the Merced River Canyon( posted Redbuds and Waterfalls previously)but, it seems spring is a long way away in the valley.

Floyd,

Certainly doesn't look like April in Yosemite! The near 50/50 comp works well because I like the inclusion of the entire reflection here. The narrow crop works too. My only real nit is that it seems that the color is off up top. Almost like you've got a graduated ND that's not neutral gray as the clouds almost have a sepia look to them.

Otherwise, a nice capture from the Valley. Hope to be heading up in a couple weeks myself.

Certainly a cold wintery look to April! Agree with Lon's assessment about the sky. Sure like the comp with the full reflection.

I like how the clouds are framing the rock face in the background. Color on the top half seems a little off to me as well.

Lon has a point about the color, but I think this is a really nice image. As mentioned, the clouds framing the rock face really works as does the reflection. Good eye.
