This was the first time I have ever seen a female Blackburnian warbler.
So I was real thrilled to be able to get a pretty good shot of her. Here in Michigan warbler season are only a few weeks away and I am starting to lick my chops.
Shot at Magee Marsh Ohio.
Canon 50 D
EF 500 f/4 is USM +1.4x
F 7/1
1/200 sec
Iso 500

Flash fired set at – 1 1/3 rd

Very nive capture Joe, with great complimentary colors. I see a small amount of noise in the BG, easily fixable. I'll be heading that way soon for a visit to Magee Marsh for a first time shoot of the warblers and hope I can get some shots this nice.

Beautiful Joe, great little setting and composition. I too see a bit of noise, but as said, easily taken care of. :toast:

Just outstanding Joe. I love the way she is craddled by the green leaves and the bright green BG.

Great detail and I like the way the leaves wrap around the body.

A super comp Joe. Love the colors and the pose. Take care of the BG noise a bit and you have a real winner. Wish this was mine.
