Funny Badgers

I haven't been posting much lately (or unfortunately commenting either) as work has been so all out crazy that sometimes I don't feel I have the time to remember to breath. I have been peeking in once in a while whenever I have the chance and saw this new short-term gallery and wanted to participate. Some really amazing images posted here and some that would have otherwise been posted in a gallery I don't usually check out.

This may not been my best image ever but it represents a wonderful opportunity that I had last summer when I found a badger den inhabited by a mom and two pups right next to a roadway (it's a heavily travelled road but no one else seemed to notice the badgers). I returned several times and spent many hours watching these badgers interact. It completely changed my viewpoint of badgers, which although they may be intense predators also have a "cute" side. I really like that this image shows the mom badger and one of the pups engaged in a playful interaction.
