A very dreamy photo with the staggered reflection, great exposure on the whites, nice look in the eye and subtle details all over.

Beautiful image. The rippled water reflection is lovely as is the blue wake, nicely done. :toast:

Great image, Raymond! Very sharp, great eye and the rippled water is phenomenal. I also like the great DOF that makes the waterline merge with the horizon and your composition. :toast: :toast:

Thanks for sharing this!

Amazing detail in the larger image Raymond and I like the bow wave in front of the bird. Would it stand another round of lightening?

cheers

I like the nice detail and low angle Raymond. I find it to be very difficult to get this close to the species. At first I wondered about the straight vertical line in the bill reflection but I'm pretty sure it's completely natural. Well done.

Nice light and wonderful detail. I also think the bird could be a bit brighter. Water and reflection is beautiful and I like the through the nares shot. Sharon

Thanks everyone. Here's a brightened version. Ron: the line is natural. I didn't do anything with it.

Well worth the effort in my opinion, wonderful angle and I happen to like the second lighter version just a little better but either way a nice shot, way to go.
