Yellowstone, 2007
This image was one of my first EP's on NPN, and the first time I was able to visualize a potentially-great B&W image from the in-color unusually-layered snow scene in front of me. We were snow-shoeing near Flagg Ranch.

I still struggle with visualizing different possibilities in processing, but learn more every day from the great photographers
and sincere suggestions.

Thanks to everyone, and especially to Jim and Donna, and all the past and present Forum Moderators.

To this day I love a great B&W (having started there over 35 years ago)........ and this is wonderful Sandy! High key with great lines and tonal range.

Hi Sandy,

I love the contrast between the clean, simple snow lines and the texture of the snow-covered branches.

Outstanding!!!!! The clean sharp angles in the foreground perfectly complement the rest of the scene and lead my eye up to and into the trees. Very nicely composed!
