Oberon Morning
by Kenn Leonhardt
As far south on the Australian mainland as you can go is Wilsons Promontory National Park, one of Australia's real gems. It was the most rewarding 24 hours I've had in Australia since coming here in January.
To get this shot, I woke pre-dawn and hiked up to the top of Mount Oberon to catch the sunrise, which was one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to witness. You could slowly watch the fog moving in and creeping up the mountain, and this was my last shot before the fog completely obstructed the views. While choosing a favourite photo from that morning is impossible, I'm quite happy with this one, even though it doesn't have the sunrise colours or grand vistas of my others.
As I'm new to processing photos with my macbook pro, please let me know what you think.
