Marsh Madness

Walking around a little pond/marsh area yesterday in the snow and freezing winds, yes on April 27th in PA! This scene caught my eye, liked the little intricacies going on and the DOF, as it becomes clearer the further back you go. Cropped a bit and processed to B&W... debated over color and this. D-60, ISO-200, 1/320th at f-4.8 on a gloomy day. Larger posted, thanks for any C&C!! Curious about the B&W vs. color too.

Bill, I am enjoying the lower 80% of the image. I like it better with the cutoff tops cropped off. B&W is very effective with this one.

B&W totally.
I do like Harley's crop suggestion.

crop from the top as Harley suggests, just a little off of each side as well.

I like the crop, very nice, and the B&W. If it wasn't cropped I would like more space at the top to show the full cattails(?). Gloomy days make for nice intimate scenes.
