New Leaves

Though I still occasionally wake up to snow, spring has definitely reached the front range. I love seeing the yellow green hints of leaves on the trees. I wish I had more time to investigate places and take photos.

This is from Settlers Park in Boulder.

I think it's neat how your eye for images transplants so well for Cali to Colo. I see your style in this and like it. Hope you're doing well too.

Dan, like the red colored bark and the new buds on the tree. A whole new place to explore and photograph. You must be excited.

A classic DB tree image and a lovely one at that. The bark texture is fantastic as are the droopy limbs. Glad to see you making images from your new home, Dan.

Nice comp and I really like the different greens in the grasses and the buds. It must be fun to explore new turf.

These are so tough to make work, and you're making them look so easy! Exquisite.

Lovely, Dan. I love the new green on the tree and also the detail in the bark. Nice color palette.

Comps look tough around these parts, but you did a fine job here of putting a nice scene together in the frame. Thanks for sharing it.

You've got to love the new color in the spring. Those greens can be so vibrant. I really like the "tangledness" of the top part of the photo.

Not sure what is wrong, but for some reason the image is not showing up. I am also unable to connect to your web-site. I'll check back later.

OK, I can see it now. The photo reminds me a lot of your work from Marin County. In this one I especially love how the top of the frame contrasts with the grass at the bottom. Very lovely design.

Dan,

Not unlike Tony's and other's comments, it's amazing (well, not really) how your style and vision and immediately translated to new surroundings; in other words, when I originally saw the thumbnail, your name came to me right away. Somewhat chaotic, yet very simple in it's design and capture. The budding greens make all the difference here. And I'm happy to see you enjoying your new environs.
