Pink Dogwood Impression +REPOST

Just meandering the neighborhood with my dog and with camera in hand enjoying being out and seeing all the gardens and trees in full bloom. We're lucky to have lots of pink dogwood trees in this area. I wanted to do something that suggested its delicacy in a certain light rather than a literal capture.

D700, 105, handheld; f4, 1/3200, ISO 1000, +0.67EV, breezy.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Ram-- Thanks, yes a lot of the credit goes to the camera for these shots. The D700 consistently exceeds my expectations for being noise free at high ISO.

Thank you everyone.

Catherine: I'm not sure what I like most; the color palette, plane of focus, DOF, BG  . I know! I like it all! Most excellent shot. >=))>

Catherine, I like your idea very much and I think you succeeded admirably on the left half of the image. I would be very positive about his image if the very OOF flowers in the background on the right side were not there. I think the OOF petals give the brain too much to think about.

Cheers,

Carol

I see, Carol. Maybe toning down the urc oof blossoms would help. Good point, and I'll try it out.

Taking Carol's suggestion to heart, here's a bit of a rework. How is it now?

Really like this one. Great mix of color and just enough DOF to give it some substance without detracting from the overall abstract feel.

A beautiful photo for remebering a beautiful walk with your dog. A dreamy image, gauzy; a pink smoke rising towards the sky. Splendid, Catherine.
Take care.
