Denise Ippolito and I are running a workshop to Longwood Gardens again. This is from last year during that time frame. They have some of the nicest varieties I have ever seen! They dye the water black......which is an added bonus! I am a huge fan of flash.....when used in conjunction with natural light balance.
Cano 1D Mark 3 with the MT 24 twin lights at +2 and ISO 800 at f32 and 1/160 sec. hand held.

Roman: I typically can spot a poorly flashed shot right away and find it a difficult skill to master. You obviously have achieved that mastery. Marvelous subject and a wonderful portrait. >=))>

Beauty of a shot Roman. I love the bud along with the flower. I wish that some of the petals were in a bit better shape, but you made the most with what Mother Nature provided you - that is for sure!

Beautiful light and comp, Roman. The crispness of the opened lily is simply stunning. Did you happen to shoot any images with just a bit of seperation between the two flowers? I would be curious to see which version I would like better.

Roman, The workshop should be fun! I love the water color and the sharp details. Fantastic flash work as always.
