I like the iridescence you caught, the nice pose on the weathered perch, and that yellow eye. There is a titch of noise in the bg, which is an easy fix if you choose.

Thanks Dan. I ran it through NR but I will give the BG another shot.

The detail in the blacks is great as is that big eye, Clayton! I'm not sure but I think there is a slight halo attached to part of the upper back of the bird. That's a nit: maybe it's just the background brightness at that point. The noise level doesn't bother me. I hope that your further noise reduction doesn't damage your detail. I really like the sombre background and the perch too. :toast:

Great colors in the blacks. I'm picking up a bit of a halo and the noise in the bg. This is one of my favorite poses showing the back of the bird and the head. Sharon

Cool perch, love the eye and the subtle colors in the blacks.

Nice pose. Serious halo that's probably from shadow/highlight or other torturing of the tones to bring out more in the dark areas.

Thanks for pointing out the hallo Rich. It was a result of my trying to darken the background and my method was faulty. Here is a repost with the problem corrected (I hope).

Much better now, and more natural.
