Kathy, neat little water droplet coming off the flower. That little bit of added interest goes a long ways.

Kathy:
I guessed it was comp seeing the tulip and well captured droplet - almost your signature comp. I like flower but am not sure about the two leaves at the bottom.

I call it "crying tulip", but there no reason for crying, it is so beautiful. Nicely done Kathy.

Beautiful work. I like the leaves especially because they point to the drop. Well done.

Great looking tulip Kathy. I love the color of it, and the BG color works well too. I think if this were mine I would crop a tiny bit from the top, just to lose the 'V' shape at the top of the bloom.

Dew drop inn. Now, if you could only find an establishment with that name. I see a sale! Nicely captured Kathy. Are we still on for Saturday? Yes, I enjoyed a session or two, (maybe more) with tulips as models. Getting ready to post a purple senior moment later. Hope you had a blast up in Fishtown.

Thanks, everyone, for the comments/compliments. The tulips made great subjects for me this year, and I've learned a lot playing around with the water drops and reflectors. Loads of fun, too Steven, I'm still planning on Saturday. Will shoot you an email with directions. Fishtown was awesome. Took lots of pics, and couldn't have asked for better weather (not like today - cold and rainy). Kind of funny, you're shooting tulips and I'm shooting Irises this week

Kathy: I like the comp, drop and color of the tulip and the leaves. I think the only thing holding this back is the BG. The neutrality of it doesn't add to the overall effect IMO and kind of subtracts from the impact of the main subject. A pure white or pure black BG would work better for me. >=))>
