The Clematis is a climbing plant that comes in various species. It's many varied colors and shapes make up very intricate patterns.

These blossoms are truly fun to shoot. You've captured this well, even in bright light. I might like a little more room at the top and bottom. I always see these growing in yards with mulitple blooms, however, I am lucky to get maybe three a year... I have moved it several times and I cannot find the right growing location... I have enjoyed viewing yours.

The light does seem strong Richard but you seem to have tamed it well. I might try to brighten the image a bit with curves and I would add canvas at the bottom and top per Mary's suggestion. Well seen and good job getting the light under control.

Richard: A bit more room top and bottom and some brightening of the flower would make this stronger IMO. Good detail on the petals and center. Well done.>=))>

A little tight in the frame, but with good details. If you use photoshop, you might try the shadows/highlights adjustment.

Like everyone, I too feel this is a nice shot which can become better with more space at the top and bottom  .
