Beautiful blossoms young and old Barb, I like your comp too. I think this image would be better with just a tad bit more sharpening.

These are one of my favorite flowers. Great composition and excellent DOF. I agree about the shapening, though. If it were mine I'd try a circular gradient with a bit more at the center of the flower.

I love these little guys. Your composition is right on. But as David said, a little sharpening would improve this already good image. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Barb, what a simple elegant composition. I really like how the background leaf on the left mirrors the full bloom of the geranium. Very well done.

Beautiful capture Barb. CC regarding sharpening already noted. The CC only goes to help finesse a very fine capture. :toast:

Hi Barb :wavey: A beautiful composition of a very pretty flower. The soft color is great, but the sharpness is lacking .

That is nice Barb. I really like the simple composition. There is no doubt what to lokk at in this picture.

Very pretty flower. Even though the geranium is not tack sharp, the darker green background makes the geranium stand out very nicely.

Thank you, everyone, for your comments and suggestions. I don't know nearly as much about sharpening as I'd like to, so I've been using auto sharpen in Elements. For this repost I used adjust sharpness. I think it is better, but probably still not as good as it should be.

Barb, very well composed. In the repost, the flower does look better in the sharpness area. Unfortunately, it looks like the sharpening brought out a bit of noise in the BG, which it sometimes does. Just curious, was using a tripod an option on this shot? My experience has been, that if the image isn't basically sharp to start with, no amount of post sharpening is going to help.

Philip, no I was sightseeing in Jackson, WY and didn't have a tripod with me. I also didn't own an IS lens back then.
