Hidden Creek

While roaming in the forest this afternoon I heard the sound of water. I climbed over a knoll and this little creek was working its way down the mountain. Took some time to find a way down to it but I thought it was worthwhile and I hope that you you do too.

Nice shot Timothy. I love these little streams and search them out when ever I hear them, as you did. I like the diagonal comp.

Tim,

I like the greens here and the flowing water, but I'm not quite sold on the composition. What it's telling me is that there is more going on below and I'm curious to see more. I do really like the upper half of the image as that seems to be a more solid comp. I'm sure sure there's a good reason (sticks or other distractions) below the bottom, but the cascade just feels cut off to me. Otherwise, a lovely place and a nice image.

I agree with Lon. I love everything that's there, I just want a bit more. My eye constantly follows the stream out of the frame, wondering where it leads. The bright greens being concentrated in the upper portion probably contributes to that affect. Very nice though and worth revisiting.
