Savannah Sparrow
by Dennis Plank
This is the same bird as my last post a few frames earlier in the sequence. He actually gave me a lot of time and a number of poses. I liked the head tilt in this one and the posture fit with the lines of the rock he was perched on better than the more vertical pose that I cropped the previous post from. The plant forming the bg is Mountain Bluet.
7D, 500mm f4 + 1.4TC, Black Widow on Gitzo legs, f8, 1/1600, iso 400, Av mode with -1/3 compensation, noise reduction using Neat Image, normal processing in CS4, except I reduced my normal sharpening to about 1/2 the standard values. Taken at 6:25 pm on May 14th. This is 72% of full frame.
I always appreciate your comments and criticisms.
