Buckskin Glow

I'm still trying to come up with a title for this one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Usually it takes a while for me to think of something that is fitting. I shot this in Buckskin Gulch on day 6 of my last trip.

This was a fast moving glow. I barely missed it the day before, so I returned to the same location a bit earlier the next day.

Check out my blog for a video tour of the area, and some of my thoughts about shooting here.

"Entrance" - at least that's a title I used for a slot canyon shot.

Very amazing image Ben. The light entering in the bg creates a lot of "magic" here.

Great job on this one Ben. All the more impressive when you hear and read the back story from your blog. This would be exceptional printed LARGE....which is what you're after.

I like your title, and I love the image. You've done a great job of putting the viewer right into this scene. Great light and colors. Nice work.

The interplay of light and shadow is fantastic! And I like the perspective you chose as I get a pretty good understanding of the place (the cool video you did helped too  )

"Buckskin Glow" works nicely I think. Beautiful image. I saw it pop up and then disappear last night and am glad to see it came back. The details in the dark areas are as intriguing as the glow.

Even though fairly simple and not over the top, I still really like it and the message it conveys. :toast:

I might wish for a touch more foreground path, but not at the expense of not showing the height of the walls here. Maybe shot at a lower position or two shots stitched to make a 16:9 vertical shot?

Still nice as is dude.

Exquisite image. The light, color, and contrast are superb. I can only imagine what a print from that 4x5 Velvia transparency must be like.... stunning.

Very impressive Ben. Really like everything about it. Mark's suggestion of including more fg path might be worth exploring, but it's excellent as is. Superbly crafted photo. :toast: :toast:

Beautiful glow on the distant wall. The sandstone folds in the right half of the image are also very interesting.
