Excellent image Ronnie. Lovely color, I'd like the eyes open more but hey, better not to wake him!

Beautiful image with just enough light on the right eye. The Owl looks contemplative and the colors are really lovely and subdued.

Nice subtle image, Ronnie. I like the muted palette and the half closed eyes in this case. A whole different look from the usual owl portrait. :toast:

Great light!! Love the pose and perch. This would have been off the charts if the eyes were wide open. Oh well. Still a very nice image.

Hey BB,,,,,,,,This one really illustrates your point well. Got to love that early light!

"It's less about the subject and more about the composition & light".

But he does look kind of bored with you.

Perfect exp and l love the setting wish he was awake but this has its place too. When a buyer is looking for a sleepy owl photo you can take this to the bank

I'm surprised that you were able to get 1/500 s at 100 iso under what appears to be such low lighting conditions. The lighting is beautiful and fits with the sleepy pose. :toast:

Ronnie,
What gorgeous light. It's the dark, muted background that sets this image off for me. Very nice perch as well. You've been posting some killers lately. Exceptional.
