Wild - Painted Trillium

Here's a capture of Painted Trilliums. It was a real suprise to find so many of these in one area. Small spec on upper right petal of the trillium is actually a mosquito. Doesn't show up well in this version but very sharp on original.
Shot taken with a Canon 40D 70-200IS F4 @ 200mm f8 1/20sec tripod liveview manual focus.

Excellent sharpness and detail. I have yet to see the painted variety on the wild. Nice find

A lot of nice crisp pretty lines. I like the play of shadows.

Nice work in finding 2 close together and then getting them both in focus. If the mosquito bother you in the larger version, clone it out :toast:

Love everything about the comp, color, detail and textures. The greens seem to have an odd hue... maybe a touch too much yellow? Regardless, lovely presentation. :toast:

Hi Bob :wavey: fantastic DOF.  the two flowers are not on the same plane, but both are really sharp. Love the composition with the leaves being just perfect. there is also great light and color. :toast:
