Was going to post something reflecting the 'majesty of nature' blah blah...but Larry got me thinking; a photo in a spacecraft shouldnt necessarily be your best work or a spectacular scene, just something that says something about the planet you live on. So, i'm picking this oddball shot of moon jellies in the Seattle aquarium. The jellies represent the complexity and beauty of living organisms of course, and the shot here is litterally completely behind water, which of course represents our 'water planet'. The creatures are captive, representing man's conquering of the natural world, and submission in an artifical environment. This has a negative aspect, but positive as well: the woman in the wheelchair could only enjoy this magestic scene on account of the ingenuity of the people behind the display. Ok, it's weird--i blame Larry.

Good stuff.
We need more who ponder rather than pander.
And I like the "behind the curtain" mood of the presentation. Mysterious.
