A first to photograph for me! I had gotten one a few days before, but it was on a wire, so I'm thrilled to have found one on a natural perch. This guy was quite cooperative and allowed me multiple shots.

This is a beauty. Nice detail, and it provides an up close and personal look at this little predator's weapons system.

The larger version should be viewed to appreciate the wonderful detail captured on this image. Love the composition too!

I love the details, pose. perch and composition. Very well executed! I think the colors might be tweaked a bit to make the most of this stunning image. :toast:

A fine shot of a favorite species of mine. I'd go slightly darker overall with this.

Sharon

I love the pose, the soft blue in the background, the head turn towards the viewer and your choice of comp. As Rich D. mentioned I might go a little darker overall which might tone down that one bright area near the rump. Love the details

Very nice shot Sharon. I like the detail, comp and colors. The exposure looks spot on to me. I spent threee days out at Pawnee Butte trying to find several species to photograph.....a Loggerhead was at the top of the list and couldn't spot one. I know we have them out there...maybe they don't like me... I did find other good subjects though

Congrats on finding a Loggerhead to photograph. Nothing significant to add to earlier comments. I like the head position and tilt and the nice eye contact. :toast:
