Wild magenta

Gallery: FloraPosted June 1, 201086 views9 comments

Made this image of this wild flower while on a hike in the mountains last week. The magenta/pink flower caught my attention amidst the 'flowing' grass and rocks.

Techs:
Nikon D90 + Nikkor 18-105mm VR
f/8, 1/160, ISO640 @105mm
Mild Orton effect added to give it a slight soft/dreamy feel.

Critiques welcome.

Excellent setting for showing off the small pink flowers. Ortonizing has definitely added to the artistic feel for the photo.

I love it. The light is beautiful and the little flower stands out nicely in those gereat grasses

Balakumar: Exceptionally well seen and composed IMO. The spotlighting on the flower is over the top good. This is a wonderful intimate scene superbly captured. >=))>

I really love this photo. The play of lights and shades rise emotions. The texture in the background is what I like most. Beautiful!
Take care.
