Shot at the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens, Nova Scotia. Area is the oldest continuous European settled area north of St Augustine Florida. Founded in 1605. In 2008, Annapolis Royal won the International Small Town Communities in Bloom competition. A wonderful place for flora photogs!!

The shot is of the Laburnum arbor. The gardens and town have some magnificent specimens of Laburnums, Magnolias and Rhodies/Azaleas.

Shot with a Canon 40D 70-200mm @70mm f11 0.8sec 100ISO.

Note: JPG compression didn't do this justice.

Nice scene, great color and perfect lighting. The golden chain vine surrounding the entrance is stunning. Do you know the correct name for that plant? Looks like a wisteria, but I've never seen it in yellow. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm in NS. :wavey:

Beautiful scene Bob. I'd also like to see more of that fountain at the end of the walkway. Nice sense of depth in this.
