i'd love to see the original on a light table markus or better still projected. the sky looks a mite too smooth in this version - i think some grain might add depth to it. great light though and well done.

Man you don't see Scala images often these days, but the tonality just sings here Markus. Really goregous composition and those silver tones just resonate well.

thx guys,
Yoh Stuart I projekt my slides also with a Götschmann 6x7 projektor sometimes against a big white wall. This is awesome, but here I think I pushed the scala so the grain is imho to heavy for landscape. Bur you are right the sky looks too smooth. I love pulled scalas. It´s a tragedy for me that this film is gone, but there is another one Superpan 200 which I will try with the same lab processing.

Very nice lighting. The sky almost looks like a dark blank canvas.

Awesome otherworld feeling to this...compositionally...I am feeling a step or 2 to the right and pan back to the left. This would keep the comp you have but put more space b/t the fg rock and main rock in the midground giving more balance as I feel the right side is a bit 'empty'. Killer catch

I've wanted to visit this place for many, many years. Gorgeous work, and lucky with that light!

Excellent shot, Markus. Love the dramatic contrast and surreal appearance of the rocks.

Very dramatic and interesting shapes and figures. The light adds even more to the drama and mystery of this place. Well done Markus.

Looks like the moon, really nice image. Love the one large hoodoo on the right in the distance sticking up.

Markus,
This is from another planet, no? The subject matter alone is other wordly. Combine that with the super rich tonality of the film, scanning and processing, this image is superb! Simply fabulous.

Beautiful! I can imagine that it looked pretty close to this in color with the black sky and white rocks perfectly lit with the low angle of the sun. I would love to see more of your images from there- it seems like such a unique place.
