This pair seems to be engaged as if gears. Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens with 500D close up lens.

Whoa Patricia

What a great capture...all geared up or doing the tango..whichever, this is priceless. These blooms are really hot and pop....must be a tango on Saturday night.

That's about as intense as color gets in my experience Pat. Great capture of stunning subjects with a perfect supporting bg. Gorgeous...

Often I see nature portrayed like this and I am stunned at the creativity and beauty. What a burst of shapes and colors. Great capture... who comes up with this stuff?

Patricia: I love how these intertwine, indeed very much like cogs in a gear system. Superb plane of focus and DOF management as well. Superb shot. >=))>

Fabulous. Looks like two ferris wheels on the thumbnail. Flowers just pop out of the BG. Like it a lot.

Don't think it can get much better than this. Crazy Sharp, Solid Focus Plane Management and the background is simply superb. Pretty much a text book photo.

Thanks for posting this neat flower shot! Several years ago, before digital I took a shot of a flower that no one knew what it was. Now I know. Very nice composition and exposure.
