Red fox cub

For the last 4 days I'm working on my new project. Near this place there's a den with 5 cubs in. It took a while for them to get used to me but now they are and it's such great fun to be with this close.

Nikon D3s and Nikon 200-400/4 iso 400 1/250 sec. f/4 full frame

Thanks for looking...

You must be thrilled with this. The DOF on the perch is impressive given the aperture was f4 and the little guy is giving you a real nice pose with sweet detail. I really like everything about this and wouldn't make any adjustments.

Love the way the kit is situated on the log. Nice clean image as well.

Great picture, Edwin! I like how you captured the fox on the wood. That gives great color contrast. I also like that green back ground. Great job!

This is amazing Edwin. Curious as to where this is, not details just generally speaking. Great subject, great moment, perfect light.

Great shot Edwin. Pose and composition are spot on. If I had to find a nit to pick, it would be the slight yellow cast, but that's hardly worth mentioning. Looking forward to seeing more of your project.

Hi Edwin,

Very pleasing! I love the log in the foreground (and that it's rendered sufficiently sharp) and the fox kit's pose/expression is great. If the image were mine I'd probably opt for a slight contrast bump in the image, but accomplished through very minor selective tweaks (mostly increases) to the brightness of the subject and perhaps a very slight toning down of the background. But I'm talking very minor tweaks only - as posted this image is already VERY appealing!

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
