Great Blue Heron

Last year I found a heron rookery and I've been eagerly waiting my chance to get out there this year. The babies and nests are pretty hard to photograph since they're pretty well obscured by vegetation but the adults put on a real show and don't seem to pay any attention to me and my kayak despite being rather skittish in most other settings. Here's a flight image from last week about an hour after dawn. As always, C and C welcome.

Very nice in flight GBH photo. I am impressed by the sharpness and the under the wing detail. Thanks for sharing.
