Trial Garden (WC)

Something radically different for me. Some local artists were invited to display works of art in this municipal gardens (Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown, oh). The artwork would remain outside, on display, in the actual flower beds. Most participating artists are sculptures, potters, etc. I took an image I had taken in the area of the gardens called the "Trial Garden" (where new selections are displayed every year), and, using photoshop, tried to make it look like an impressionistic watercolor. I then had it printed 24 x 30 on canvas, wrapped around an internal frame. It is now on display in the Trial Garden for the summer on a homemade easel. I am brand new to photoshop and I really don't know what I am doing, but it is getting positive comments. Stan, if you want to move it to Photo Art, no problem.

This is really beautiful Scott. The colors, composition and sunburst are really appealing. It makes me want to walk down that yellow brick road...

Scott, I really, really like the original image as well. What an amazing composition and terrific light.

Theyre both real nice! Great comp and subject matter--and the sun makes the shot. BTW--everything goes here, so long as its on theme.

Very nice composition Scott. It fits very well to this gallery. IMO everything is OK, excep the strong sunlight in the BG (it takes too much attention from this nice part of the garden). :toast:
