Earthly Beginnings
by Wayne Rhodus
Early last month I was captivated by the earth tones and patterns of this scene and felt compelled to capture this abstract. My hope is its identity is difficult to discern and causes the viewer to look long and hard for clues of scale and subject matter.

I'd be tempted to darken the LRC a tad as the wide area of yellow doesn't fit so well with the yellow stripes elsewhere in the image.

It surely 'looks' like an areal shot. But with a 24mm & f/13, it is difficult to land up with soft areas like the lower sections of the frame. Also the bit of grass on the lower-right; my guess would also be a 1 foot (to) subject distance. Looks like surface of water.
An excellent image.
Very nice abstract with unusual colors and your idea worked exactly as you intended in my case.
Ya got me. If I had to guess, it would be smaller rather than larger. I'd say a mossy intimate at water's edge. The clue on size is the little bush of sticks in the green stuff. But there are some white specs that could be birds in flight over a very large aerial landscape too....
Great eye and great job in creating something that really gets the mind working...
