Hello All,
unfortunately the job and the weather aren't cooperative lately.
This shot was taken two month ago in Switzerland.
I like the warm light and the peaceful atmosphere of the moment that I find again in this pic.

40D 300+2TC
f8,0 1/1600
ISO 500

Thanks for viewing.
C&C are very welcome.

You did a great job taking a very common subject and making it look really nice. I love the light and how the water color and texture works perfectly with the bird's colors and textures. Nice pose by the bird, good sharpness, and nice DOF. Well done.

A nice image as presented, especially in the larger version.

Technical details look really good Monica, sharp and excellent exposure. I would like to see a bit more room at the bottom and perhaps a 1/2 degree of ccw rotation.

Beautiful light and pose, Monica. I would prefer some more room at the bottom than the top. :toast:

Wonderful detail and color here, Monica. This duck is beautifully captured. However, I do find it curious that you located the bird so low in the frame and that the reflection is headless. I agree with others that more room at the bottom and less at the top would be even more attractive. :toast:

Lovely light, nice detail and I really like the brown colors of the image. I agree with the comments that more room at the bottom would be a plus. :toast:

Great light indeed, Monica! Very sharp too. I like the wet plumage, low angle and the muted colors in this image. Thanks for sharing this. :toast:

Thanks to everybody for your honest suggestions.
I chose this comp because the entire reflection did not seem to add to the image but rather I preferred to emphasize the warm light in the background. Anyway I'll try another crop with more room on the bottom. Thanks again! :wavey:
