Sledding Hill

I wanted to take a sled and take a run down this long steep slope. It's difficult to capture just how steep this was, and I was teetering on a ledge. Do the varying angles of the slope not work? I cropped a little from the left to give it a better feel, but perhaps a little more would work better.

I can understand the difficulties in capturing this one, Ron. I've been in the same situation recently, although I didn't feel the urge to slide down, after the long hike up. The lines in the snow create a nice dynamism, but I wish the lrc had snow to further increase this. It doesn't take away much, as the atmosphere with the storm clouds is fantastic. The b&w conversion is perfect. Beautiful shot and well worth the effort!

Looks great, lots of drama and contrast here. The lines in the snow really help to make you feel like it's a steep slope. I agree with Dorian, I might like a little more snow in the LRC, but it's definitely not a deal breaker. Cool shot either way!

Is this on the Hidden Lake trail in Glacier?

The converging lines really draw our attention toward the center of the picture. Very effective.

Oh, I like it a lot. The angles and leading lines work very well. Is this in the Uintas?

Lots of interest here, top to bottom. The fg lines work wonderfully to pull my eyes into the distant valley. Works for me!

It looks like it might be fun, but in the end, I think you'd regret going down that on a sled! Nice perspective though, and great drama in the sky.

Something about the processing here has distorted reality to the point where it leaves me too confused and unsettled. I would suggest backtracking a little bit.

Based on the other comments, though, it sounds like it's just me.
