Pink Lotus #4

I have no idea how many of these I have posted throughout the years, but I'm guessing this is the 4th. It is in my home pond and has wintered over for the third year. Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens pointing straight down from the second story deck. They only last a day or so, depending on the wind and rain, so I enjoy every minute they are in bloom.

Comments welcomed.

Just beautiful, as always !
sharp detail, exquisite colors, and nice plaement in the frame.
I know that light area is the very center of the leaf, but it bugs me a little and keeps drawing my eye....

I have got to find some pink lotus to photograph. These may be the most beautiful bloom in the world, and you have absolutely translated that with this shot!

Patricia: I have yet to see any of these in our local water gardens so your posts are always a special treat. I really envy you having them in your own backyard. Really beautiful flower superbly rendered. >=))>

This is just gorgeous, Patricia. It must be wonderful to have these in your pond to photograph. The even lighting is just perfect for bringing out the details and pastel colors of the lotus. This is just a suggestion, but have you considering cloning out the bright spot in the center of the pad? It keeps pulling me away from the flower.

You have to be the Lotus Queen, Patricia. Every one I have seen of yours looks so pristine, and that includes this one. A lovely perspective, too.
