Buttonwood Snag

Gallery: Man & NaturePosted June 29, 2010337 views3 comments
Tripod set as low as it would go, with my butt sticking up in the air so I could see through the viewfinder, and people walking in front of me, I had to wait for a wave to erase the foot prints, and another pair of legs would enter the frame just as the wave did its job.

At Bowditch Point, opposite end of Fort Myers Beach from Estero Lagoon.

Canon 1D3, Sigma 12-24mm at 12mm
ISO 100, f11, 1/125
Evaluative metering, no exposure compensation
A digital red filter darkened the blue sky

This is a well composed image Buck and the conversion looks good. I cannot believe people just walk in front of your camera!

A striking and rather severe image. Interestingly, it feels almost lonely, but beautiful.
Man, you must have patience; I personally cannot stand to take photos where there are people!!!!
Also, thanks for putting up the techs!
