Wasn't sure at first whether this belonged in flora or in ESS, but seeing that the granite clearly bears the hand of man, it will be my first post in the flora gallery. This image was captured at Elephant Rocks SP in MO last month. I was first attracted to the lone green vine against the granite. After looking at the original image, I decided to selectively desaturate all of the color channels except green to really emphasize the vine. Comments and critiques much appreciated. Love the contrast between the rock and the leaves. This is really nice.

Love the how the leaves stand out against the rock Matthew, I also like the wonderful use of negative space here too.

Matthew: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet where our motto is if it grows, it goes. Well seen and great decisions on the processing. Great to have you aboard and hope to see more. >=))>

I'm a big fan of minimalist composition Matthew and this has a lot of appeal to me. Love the desaturation in the processing. My only suggestion would be to go ahead and clone out the leaf and some of the other small organic pieces on the rock face. Hope you'll continue to post here. I enjoyed this.

The contrast makes for a winner with this one. Well done!

Beautiful green colour and exelent contrast. Nicely done Matthew. I'd crop the upper part to remove the small holes in the rock. :toast:

Wonderful textures in this and a fine composition, Matthew, and your saturation choices seem just right to me. The ? drill holes to the top are an intriguing feature. A striking image altogether.

Very nice. I find it very hard to make more than a "pretty flower picture" when shootingflora. this is more than that. This is art.
