ISO 100
150mm macro
f2.8
1/10s

I found this interesting as the tiny spirea flowers were almost ready to burst from bud stage, and also the spider web leading out of frame was kind of cool. Very little retouch was done...only a tiny tweak in saturation and some sharpening.

I like the title Doug and also the way the wpider web is tucking at the flower, looks as if it is being drawn into the web.
I like it very much and it is pretty cool.
The background is nice

Really nice abstract, Doug. This would also be a good post in the Flora gallery. There is a lot of overlap between Flora and Macro. I like to post in both. I do mostly insect and water drop posts in macro. It seems that insects really dominate in macro. It has been my experience that more people follow the flora gallery and you will tend to get more comments on floral shots there.

Nice selective focus here, highlighting only two or three of these tiny buds. I like the color and bokeh pattern in the BG with the shallow DOF that was given with F/2.8. Another option for this shot would be to shift your point of view to the buds with the web coming off of them and and close your aperture down a little to bring in more detail of the web and buds uniting together. This is just an option for another shot and by no means takes away from the one you have posted here. Well done.

Doug:
Good use of selective focus. I like how the flower fades out into the red mist. Nice bokeh and clean BG. Looking forward to see more posts here.
